As the Assistant Director, Knowledge Bank, you will lead this crucial initiative. Your role will be to design the approach and the user model for the knowledge bank and to determine the processes for curation and sharing of the information. You will need to build relationships across Defence to identify and collect knowledge materials. You will be the primary curator of Defence's knowledge in this area, assessing materials for inclusion and continually evolving the provision and tools to best support sharing of this knowledge.
About our Team The External Workforce Reform Branch was established to embed an enduring change to the way Defence interacts with and utilises the external workforce. The team has a broad agenda focussed on building a culture that ensures contracted support is only used where it provides the best value for the Australian taxpayer. The team will be pivotal in enabling Defence to achieve the transformational change required to deliver the agenda outlined in the National Defence Strategy.
Our Ideal Candidate Our ideal candidate will bring:
Experience within the APS or a professional services environment; Strong communications and stakeholder engagement skills; A proven track record of delivering knowledge management, advice or support services; Experience with qualitative and quantitative knowledge products; The ability to think strategically and shape new approaches to improve the use of knowledge; High levels of integrity and a commitment to act in accordance with the APS and Defence Values and Behaviours; A passion and commitment for Defence's mission and outcomes; and The resilience to deliver results in a complex, high paced environment while managing multiple competing stakeholders and relationships.
