Position Overview : The role operates within the College's dedicated Education Development team, working alongside Learning Designers, Content Creators, Education Development Officers and reporting to the Education Development Coordinator.
This position requires a considerable amount of autonomy, requiring operational effectiveness and strategic vision and alignment. Success requires someone who has considerable experience creating content within an industry standard learning management system using industry standard content creation tools.
Reporting to the Education Development Coordinator, the primary focus of this role will be the development of education content utilizing our Canvas Learning Management System, along with other tools such as H5P, Articulate and Adobe Suite.
You will work closely with Learning Designers and medical subject matter experts to develop world class courses and content for rural and remote doctors.
This role will suit someone who enjoys working within a small team, with lots of opportunities to work autonomously, whilst working on projects that make a real difference to rural and remote doctors and their communities.
Specific Role Responsibilities Include Development of education content within a Canvas Learning Management System utilizing inline editing, H5P, and Articulate 360 Uses common production methodologies and frameworks to build and configure online courses. Works with Learning Designers to understand learning objectives and content requirements Contributes creativity to the design process to ensure the relevance of the design and content Engage with subject matter experts to develop and review content Works to agreed project plans and schedules Builds and sustains positive relationships with team members, stakeholders and clients Supports system users by answering first level support requests via telephone and email. Required Key Competencies: Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience in the field of content creation. Experience with various delivery tools including learning management systems and learning production tools. Highly Desirable Experience and understanding of the medical education environment within a rural context or similar. Experience with Canvas LMS, HTML coding and Articulate and Adobe products. Experience developing medical education programs. This role is part of an expansion for the Education Development team, with an expanded program of works for the team. It is a permanent full-time role, with hybrid working from home benefits.
