Senior Project Officer
Full-time Permanent Details: This position manages an allocated program of property upgrade projects on ACT Government properties. Using technical skill and experience in maintenance and upgrade of properties, the person in this role delivers projects from inception to the completion of the defects period, assisting clients to ensure the ACT Government receives high quality, technically proficient services in a timely manner. People in these roles will generally have a building trades or building management background and are able to provide technical advice when required.
Property and Government Insourcing provides expert property management and maintenance services to the ACT Government and the community. The group manages and maintains buildings and property that enable the ACT Government to provide Government and community services. The group supports the ACT Government's delivery of its services through flexible, efficient and cost-effective accommodation solutions and property services. Community services and support are also enabled through the provision of properties to community organisations at affordable rental rates. Property and Government Insourcing operates on a fee-for-service basis with a requirement to provide a dividend to government.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: Hold a relevant professional qualification in Engineering, Architecture or Project Management, or accreditation with a professional body recognised within Australia, or Hold a relevant building degree, or Hold a relevant building trade qualification, or Have significant building or Infrastructure knowledge and/or project management experience. In addition, applicants must:
Asbestos awareness card or a willingness to obtain - Asbestos Awareness Training and evidence of completion delivered by a Registered Training Organisation is required before commencement. Hold or have the capacity to obtain Work Health and Safety qualifications (Certificate IV); Hold a current driver's licence (car). Membership of a relevant professional association and qualifications in Procurement, Contract Management or Work Health and Safety are highly desirable.

This position is based in an activity-based working (ABW) environment. Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
