Assistant Director, Invasive Species
Full-time Temporary with a Possibility of Permanency Details: We are seeking a talented and driven self-starter to join our small team to shape the strategic direction of invasive species policy in the ACT and represent the ACT in shaping the national agenda. You will provide advice to EPSDD executives and to the Minister to support participation in national biosecurity meetings. Having a high level understanding of, or experience in, government process for the development of legislation and legislative instruments is highly desirable.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: A sound knowledge of biosecurity and agriculture issues and policy matters within the ACT and surrounding regions. Tertiary qualifications in biological, agriculture, natural resource and/or environmental science/policy, or related disciplines is highly desirable.
Notes: This is a temporary position available from 1 February 2025 until 3 May 2025 with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
