Details: Malkara School is a Pre-school to Year 6 school for students with a moderate to severe intellectual disability living on the southside of Canberra. We are seeking an exceptional Business Manager to join our leadership team. We are looking for a proactive, diligent, and supportive person to help guide our school towards continued success.
As the Business Manager, you will be responsible for key areas including strategic planning, financial and facilities management, human resources, communications, stakeholder engagement, procurement, contract administration, compliance, risk management, and governance.

Minimum Requirements:
Asbestos awareness card or a willingness to obtain - Asbestos Awareness Training and evidence of completion delivered by a Registered Training Organisation is required before commencement. Highly Desirable:
Qualification or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance or related fields. Experience in a business-related role and financial qualifications and/or relevant experience. Knowledge of Xero and Sentral systems. Knowledge of office practices and procedures. Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. First Aid qualification. A First Aid Certificate or a willingness to undertake appropriate training. Experience and knowledge in working with students with moderate to severe intellectual disability and complex behaviour. Notes: This is a temporary position available from 03 March 2025 until 02 March 2026. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
