Assistant Director - Strategic Projects
Full-time Temporary Details : Join our exceptional team at the Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate (CMTEDD) and be part of a dynamic and innovative environment. The National Arboretum Canberra (NAC) and Stromlo Forest Park (SFP) Branch is seeking an experienced and highly motivated candidate to fill a temporary role as Assistant Director - Strategic Projects. The successful candidate will report directly to the Senior Director - Operations and will be responsible for providing high-level procurement, project, and commercial outputs and advice.
Position Overview: Under general and/or limited direction, this position will be responsible for the preparation, development, and end-to-end management of procurement and project documentation, and commercial activities across the branch. The two major pieces of work that will need to be developed during the employment term include the development of an approach to market suite of procurement documentation for the NAC's horticultural maintenance services, and the scope and business case development for the implementation of the SFP Tracks and Trails Masterplan, including implementing key environmental and heritage planning requirements.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: Experience in procurement, project, and contract management activities in a government setting is essential, and any qualifications in procurement, project, or contract management would be advantageous.
Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of six months. This position is available to ACT Government officers and employees only. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office-based, and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, flexible start, and finish times.
