Details: Suburban Land Agency (SLA) has a collaborative and high performing Executive Support team whose primary function is to support SLA's CEO and Executive in the delivery of SLA objectives and to meet stakeholder and two Ministers Office expectations.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Office of the CEO, the Assistant Director Government Business supports the day-to-day operations of SLA Executives, and oversees the day-to-day management of all Ministerial, Assembly and Cabinet related business. The position also provides high level administrative support to the CEO, Executives, Senior Director and the broader SLA division and requires highly developed written and verbal communication skills and problem-solving ability.
The position requires a high degree of independence, personal drive and integrity and the ability to consistently display high quality customer service practices and resilience, whilst managing a constantly changing high pressure environment working as an effective team member.
The Assistant Director Government Business will examine, evaluate, and take appropriate action on Ministers briefs, correspondence, agendas, speaking notes, and other strategic communication and correspondence, ensuring accuracy, sensitivity and confidentiality.
The position requires an ability to effectively monitor and manage workflows on a diverse range of matters, and an ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with the Executive, Suburban Land Agency team; other directorates/stakeholders and Ministers' Offices.
Eligibility/Other Requirements: Experience in the prioritising, coordination and management of Ministerial, Assembly and Cabinet business and administrative support of a Division and its Executives.
A demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships, particularly with Executives, DLOs and Ministers' offices.
Notes: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
