We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking digital producer to drive the creation of online articles and support regional teams to do their best work.
The ABC is expanding its coverage of regional Western Australia and there are more reporters on the ground filing stories than ever before.
If you are someone who has a strong understanding of regional news and issues in WA and is keen to see those stories engage the biggest possible audiences, then this is the job for you.
You will be tasked with increasing and improving the ABC's coverage of regional WA's, sport and rural content, as well as collaborate with the ABC's other digital platforms to help deliver content which appeals to broader audiences.
The role will involve:
Creating, editing and distributing digital and video content that builds depth and understanding for audiences.
Executing digital plans to engage local and national audiences where and when they engage with ABC content.
Monitoring and analysing audience data and metrics from digital tools, to inform content decisions.
Providing mentoring and guidance on best practice digital skills.
About You
You have accomplished editorial skills, an ability to source and analyse complex information, and can exercise sound judgement.
You will also bring:
Demonstrated experience in writing, editing and fact checking high-quality digital content.
Strong understanding of online and social mediums, and distribution of content to engage and inform audiences.
Collaborative work style with an ability to independently create innovative ideas and story components for multiple platform distribution.
