We are seeking a motivated individual to support the HMA Wear Solutions team across the mining and industrial sectors.
As a market leader in this field, we have been supplying and manufacturing specialized ceramic wear resistant linings and systems in Australia for over 40 years.
THE ROLE
Growth and demand have opened the opportunity for a new Workshop Supervisor to manage a second satellite Workshop.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Leading Hand or Tradesperson looking to take their next step in their career.
This role is hands-on and would suit someone who is still keen to stay on the tools part-time.
There will be a comprehensive training and mentoring period at our primary workshop to ensure you have the skills and tools required to succeed in this new position.
Throughout this period, you will be working with a proven team of Engineers and Tradespersons to ensure your success.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently manage direct reports to execute the planned works and use initiative for problem solving to ensure all performance targets are achieved.
Lead teams by setting clear expectations and monitoring performance.
Ensure all manufactured goods are monitored for quality, efficiency and compliance to client standards.
Encourage the development of continual improvement with the workforce.
Implement all Health Safety and Environmental Plans, to maintain compliance in accordance with all relevant legislations.
Compliance with HMA and CLIENT Safety Management Systems.
Skills and Personal Attributes to help succeed in this role:
Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade Qualification (preferred) or demonstrable skills in Steel/Pipework Fabrication (minimum).
Demonstrated high degree of accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
Strong focus on outcomes and deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Strong initiative - execution focused.
Appropriate remuneration will be negotiated with the successful applicant as an hourly wage.
