An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated Mechanical Tradesperson. Reporting to the Supervisor, the Mechanical Tradesperson will provide coverage to our state of the art Kwinana facility.
In this role, you will be able to apply your technical expertise working in a team environment and autonomously on plant maintenance. Great opportunities for development and advancing your skills on heavy industry equipment will be provided.
Responsibilities Providing leadership and commitment to safety, quality and the environment. Carrying out mechanical repairs on a range of fixed plant with a particular emphasis on planned and predictive/preventative maintenance. Administrative tasks within the maintenance planning system. Focus on continuous improvement ideas. Provide a leadership role during shutdowns for contract teams and service providers. What you will need to succeed Trade qualified (Mechanical Fitter) preferably with a background in the mining or heavy industry. Vehicle license and High Risk license including Fork lift, EWP. Post Trade certificate and experience in hydraulics, pneumatics and welding. Computer literacy, requiring experience using maintenance planning system. A confident, self-motivated, energetic individual. A team player with a high degree of trade flexibility. Ability to work, at times, autonomously and without direct supervision.
