THE ROLE:
As an Austrade Graduate you will join a collaborative, outcomes focused, and culturally diverse team unlocking opportunities for Australia's economic prosperity. Our work directly supports the Government's priorities to drive Australia's net zero transformation and ensure our economic resilience and security. You'll have the opportunity to work across and learn about sectors as broad as hydrogen, renewable energy, critical technology, defence, agribusiness and food, and education. We are passionate about producing market information and insights, promoting Australian capability and opportunity, and facilitating connections through our extensive global network of 60 offices overseas. Our National Graduate Program is a tailored 12-month rotational program in the Digital and Technology Division. You will gain access to our fantastic mentoring program, where a dedicated in-house mentor will be provided to you for the entire year, providing you with support to integrate seamlessly into our agency. You will complete three placements getting first-hand and broad experience as part of a team delivering on the Government and Austrade's strategic priorities and contributing to the economic prosperity of Australia. The Austrade Digital and Technology Graduate Program (DTGP) gives you an opportunity to excel in a digital or technical career after you have graduated from university. As a Graduate you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills while working on priority projects and lifting Australia's economic prosperity. As a global organisation, you will be working with a diverse range of people. Austrade roles can be based on the lands of the Kaurna People (Adelaide), Jagera and Turrbal People (Brisbane), Ngunnawal and Ngambri People (Canberra), Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people of the Eastern Kulin (Melbourne) and the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation (Sydney) and will commence in early 2025.

Collecting and analysing tourism data to inform decisions by government and industry.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for graduates with a range of experiences and from diverse backgrounds. Work with committed people, doing meaningful work. Are you passionate about digital technologies? Work on digital programs that deliver real value to our clients with a digital and technical career in the Australian Government. We are looking for an outcomes-focused and high-performing graduate with an interest in making a difference to Australia's economic prosperity. You are honest and truthful in your interactions with others and are responsive to changing needs.
We will need you to be creative, innovative, and collaborative by default. Enjoy working in a team with people of varying skills. While we are interested in people with studies in Digital, Data or Information and Communication Technology (ICT), we are happy to accept applications from a broader range of degrees if it is clear that you can undertake the role types above.

ELIGIBILITY:
You must meet Austrade general eligibility requirements to apply for the 2025 Graduate Program which include:
• Be an Australian Citizen at the time of application.
• Have finished at least a bachelor's degree between 31 December 2020 and 31 December 2024.
• Successful candidates need to obtain an Australian national security clearance at Baseline level.
If your only qualification is from an overseas institution, you will need to provide Australian documentation recognising your qualification(s). Refer to the Department of Education for more information about recognition of overseas qualifications.
