Our client, a leading company in the external works sector, is currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Finance & Payroll Assistant to join their dynamic team. This full-time role is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of the company's financial and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchase Ledger : Manage and process purchase invoices, reconcile supplier statements, prepare payment reports, and handle expenses and fuel administration using Sage. Sales Ledger : Oversee sales invoicing, and assist in debt management and client payment schedules. Payroll : Set up new employees in the timekeeping software, monitor timesheets for accurate payroll processing, and manage absence reporting. Administration : Provide exemplary customer service over the phone, manage meeting logistics, and support general office administration. Qualifications & Skills:
Essential :AAT qualification (full or part-qualified). Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks. High attention to detail, especially with financial data. Excellent communication skills. Proficiency in Sage accounting software. At least 2 years of experience in a finance-focused administrative role. Desirable :Experience with CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) transactions. Knowledge of VAT returns and journal entries. Why Join Us?
