A brilliant opportunity for a Multi-Product Childrenswear Garment Technologist looking to develop their career further within a fast-paced environment. Working within an established fashion leader with international retail accounts.
You will be part of a friendly, fast-paced, and experienced technical team consisting of Garment Technologists, Graders, Pattern Cutters, and Machinists.
Responsibilities: Experienced Multi-Product Childrenswear Garment Technologist with a background and excellent understanding of childrenswear compliance. Holds own areas of responsibility for customer. Preparation of all samples before the fit meeting - press/reference samples, specing initial samples, chasing production samples, uploading the PS chase-up list. Measure and inspect samples for fit and quality, sewing on buttons, ensure samples are tagged up with date. E.g., sealer, factory PP, PS etc. Liaise with factories regarding fit comments and spec requirements. Understanding status and test reports and updating the critical path system. Chasing and gathering information, chasing correct trims. Preparing Tech Packs, working closely with pattern cutters. Evaluating design samples for cost and production issues to ensure fit for purpose. About you: A minimum of 2-3 years' experience with a high street supplier background. A degree or equivalent qualification in Fashion with a genuine interest in garment construction. An understanding of pattern cutting and garment manufacture. Solid experience using Microsoft Office and Excel. Good communication skills, using own initiative and be self-driven. Organisational skills, accuracy skills, and be innovative with a proactive approach to problem solving.
