As Team Lead of Field Operations and Security you will be responsible for guiding the team that completes the logistics, risk assessment, and delivery of safe field activities for the WRL project in accordance with AusNet procedures and the ESC Land Access Code of Practice.

Your role will be key in driving meaningful engagement with stakeholders, contributing to a landmark project in Australia's energy transition.

This role is based in Ballarat / Melbourne CBD and is part of the Western Renewable Link Project.

This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:
Key contributor to the execution of the WRL Land Access Strategy in accordance with the Land Access Code of practice, including engagement with key external partners such as Traditional Owner groups to ensure its successful delivery.
Serve as the lead for logistics, risk assessment and safety and security planning for highly dynamic field operations in collaboration with Land Access team, multiple project streams (Land Access, Land Agents, Land Acquisition and HSEQ) and Delivery Partners (e.g.
technical specialists, geotechnical surveyors and Registered Aboriginal Parties) and field support staff (Wilsons; traffic management, etc.).
Lead the incident management process for field operations, including the development and implementation of incident response procedures.
Ensure that all security incidents, emergencies, and field-related risks are managed effectively, with clear protocols for resolution, reporting, and review.
Uplift capability of field team so that they can negotiate, de-escalate conflict and engage with landholders and community members during field access acting as a brand steward for AusNet and the WRL project.
Applying your critical thinking skills across multiple stream inputs to determine a 'best for project' outcome, highlighting when decision-making is required to ensure scheduling impacts are communicated across streams and Delivery Partners in a timely manner.
Undertake pre- and post- briefings and lessons learned for all statutory field accesses.
Lead field operational briefings with internal and external stakeholders including Traditional Owner Groups, incorporating physical security considerations to ensure respectful and safe site access.

Experience in Development or Construction Projects with Development experience a bonus.
