About The Role Joining the team at either our Sydney City or Queensland Head Office on the beautiful Gold Coast, we are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner who is comfortable operating as a sole HR generalist and has an interest in career advancement. You will provide comprehensive HR advice to our hospital leaders across all HR functions including employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, as well as manage key stakeholder relationships.
To succeed in this role, you will ideally come from the healthcare sector (aged care, mental health or hospital and healthcare), will thrive in a fast-paced environment, taking ownership of your workload and driving initiatives autonomously. You will be passionate about staying ahead of industry trends, continuously expanding your knowledge of best practice ER/IR practices, and applying it to support our leaders. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders will be at the core of your approach.
Key Responsibilities Act as a trusted advisor to the executive team, providing guidance on organisational development, leadership, performance management and talent strategy. Provide expert IR and employee relations advice to leadership teams, ensuring best practice outcomes, risk mitigation, and the effective management of complex HR matters. Work in collaboration with senior executives, participating in industrial relations functions, including the negotiation and implementation of collective enterprise bargaining agreements, liaising with unions and employee representatives, ensuring positive, collaborative relationships. Provide coaching to senior leaders, helping them enhance their leadership effectiveness through the design and implementation of training programs tailored to their needs. Provide reports on workforce trends and metrics, providing insights to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making, including developing strategies to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction. Support the executive and senior leadership teams in aspects of central corporate recruitment and onboarding. At least 5+ years proven experience as a HR Generalist with a focus in employee and industrial relations, preferably within the aged, mental health, or healthcare sectors. In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, industrial agreements, and best practices. Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage complex HR issues. Excellent written communication, with skills and experience in policy development, investigation reports, memos and business cases. A proactive, solution-focused approach with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly intermediate Excel skills for reporting purposes.
