We are currently seeking suitably experienced Environmental, Health, Safety and Training Co-ordinators to join our operations based in Africa. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the co-ordination and day to day maintenance of Environmental, Health, Safety & Training functions. You will provide advice and technical support to both contractors and staff, including expats and our workforce of National employees.
Your ability to engage, involve and provide support is paramount. Living and working in different countries and adapting to other cultures can be challenging yet rewarding.
Key Responsibilities:Tertiary qualifications in OHS.Certificate IV Assessment & Training and the ability to deliver training through multiple media. Trainers will be required to deliver both theory and practical training.Ability to conduct quality risk assessments, investigations and report writing.Extensive background in the Underground Mining industry, with a working knowledge of multiple disciplines and experience in Mines Rescue is preferable.Ability to engage, communicate and influence Managers and Employees including non-English speaking nationals.Exceptional organisational and communication skills.Minimum 5 years underground mining experience.Your proactive attitude to safety and driven work ethic will see you as a much-valued employee in line with AUMS's values and 'can do' attitude, and will be rewarded with a highly competitive, targeted remuneration package completing our vision of a work-life balance in a strong team environment.
A full pre-employment medical is required, including a drug and alcohol test, and site-specific clearances. A National Police Clearance and any necessary tickets or qualifications are required to be presented at the time of the interview.
