We are seeking applications from experienced Diamond Drill Trainer , working on a 6:3 roster, FIFO from any major capital city around the world.
Reporting to the Drill Supervisor, this key position will provide an excellent opportunity to further develop your career and work alongside experienced Underground Mining professionals in a safe, dynamic and outcome focused environment.
Duties and Responsibilities Compliance with all HS&E policies, procedures, and instructions.
Ensure all KPI's are met and all pre-starts, SWIC's, SLI's and FRM's are completed in due time.
Ensure clean drill core samples are marked to requirements and delivered.
Carry out weekly inspections on drill rigs improving safety and productivity.
Perform training, mentoring, (theory and practical assessments as required) to employees reviewing their development.
Manage breakdowns and setup of drill rigs.
Key requirements: Must have 5 plus years' underground diamond drilling operations experience.
Cert III and IV in Drill Operations is preferred, training and assessing highly regarded.
First Aid Certificate Underground diamond drilling experience operating LM75, LM90 and Erebus mobile carrier mounted diamond drill rigs.
Understanding and knowledge of ore body definition, grade control, deep hole, and directional drilling.
Be able to run rig, achieve daily targets whilst training / mentoring national workforce in correct drilling / offsider practices.
Understanding of drill plans to ensure rig is set up correctly and accurate reporting of drill shift and production.
Ability to organise and establish priorities, following up on outstanding tasks and closing out any completed works / task where necessary.
National Police Clearance (within 6 months) and valid Driver's License.
