The role will play a key role in delivering the internal audit program and contribute towards effective risk management, compliance, and assurance across the Department.You will be provided with autonomy and genuine flexibility within a small team, which is focused on providing innovative solutions and customer-centred, value-adding audit and advisory services across the Department.The Auditor is responsible for undertaking assigned audits from the annual plan, along with managing and developing internal client relations and supporting the Internal Audit Unit with the delivery of the team/s assigned functions.Core responsibilities include:Assisting in the development and execution of the risk-based Internal Audit Plan.Planning, conducting, and reporting on internal audits in line with established standards.Providing expert advice on risk management, control processes, and system improvements.Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance audit processes and outcomes.Supporting the delivery of other functions and services within the Audit Unit.About YouWe are looking for an experienced Internal Auditor with:Ability to apply auditing standards
and interpret legislation, including government accountability frameworks.Effective verbal and written communication
skills.Proven ability to work effectively
in a collaborative, small-team environment.Excellent stakeholder liaison
