Join Legal Aid Queensland's Governance Team as an Audit, Risk, and Compliance Committee Member (ARCC) - (Two Roles Available, Brisbane)
Legal Aid Queensland (LAQ) is seeking experienced professionals to join its Audit, Risk, and Compliance Committee (ARCC), a vital subcommittee of the LAQ Board. As an ARCC member, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic oversight and assurance in financial reporting, risk management, and compliance within LAQ's corporate governance framework.
About the Role : ARCC members assist the LAQ Board and CEO in ensuring transparency, ethical accountability, and robust risk management across key operational areas. This advisory role requires independence, impartiality, and a commitment to high standards of governance and compliance.
LAQ Are Looking For : Senior-level expertise in corporate governance and risk management.Advanced knowledge of financial reporting, compliance frameworks, and internal controls.The ability to analyse complex financial and audit reports and contribute to strategic decision-making.Strong ethical judgment and a readiness to provide constructive feedback.Your Eligibility : Independent of LAQ management and Queensland State government entities (current Queensland State Government Employees are not eligible).Availability for four meetings annually (February, May, August, November).Members are appointed for an initial three-year term with a potential three-year reappointment and are generally required to attend four meetings per year.
