Position Overview The Manager, Property Services is a key leadership role, providing high level authoritative advice and management of capital works, facilities, assets and accommodation responsibilities on behalf of the department. The primary focus is to work collaboratively to achieve effective and efficient development, use, management and maintenance of the department's owned and leased building portfolio.
Duties The Manager, Property Services will be responsible for:
Providing high level authoritative advice on capital works, facilities, and asset management. Collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure effective management of the department's property portfolio. Overseeing the maintenance and development of owned and leased buildings. Pre-Employment Checks The Head of the State Service has determined that a person nominated for appointment to this position is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion, or transfer. Relevant serious criminal offences may provide grounds for declining an application for appointment.
Minimum Requirements Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or discipline from a recognised tertiary institution, or equivalent experience (of more than 5 years). Extensive experience in project management and leading a program to modernise services in a government context is highly desirable. Relevant industry experience in building, construction and/or property management related fields.
