Audit & Risk Committee Membership – Independent Members
(2-year term)
The City of Port Adelaide Enfield (PAE) is a welcoming, liveable City: made by people.

PAE is committed to strengthening its financial, governance and audit processes through its Audit and Risk Committee.

The role of an Audit and Risk Committee Member is to report to Council and provide appropriate advice and recommendations on matters relevant to its Terms of Reference that inform the long-term direction of PAE.
The Committee consists of 3 Independent Members and 2 Elected Councillors and typically meets 4 times per year.

We are seeking expressions of interest from people who want to support PAE in achieving its potential.
We are looking for applicants with integrity, strong business acumen, and highly effective communication skills, with the ability to provide insight and exercise independent judgment.

Successful applicants will have:
Skills and knowledge in one or more of the following: financial management, commercial acumen, governance, legal or risk management Significant Board and/or Audit Committee experience Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work constructively with other Committee Members, management, and other stakeholders Ability to think critically, demonstrate independent judgement, and challenge management decisions or recommendations Confidence in providing findings, advice, and recommendations to other Committee Members and stakeholders within the wider organisation The ability to provide insight, advice, and guidance on best practice Strategic thinking skills An interest and commitment to delivering public value In selecting the independent members, Council will seek to achieve a mix of the above skills.
