As the Audiology Assistant at Ripley Satellite Hospital, you will provide a range of clinical screening assessments and treatments as prescribed by audiologists.The purpose of the role is to contribute to patient care by providing clinical support tasks for the Audiology service within West Moreton Health, delegated under the direct or indirect supervision of audiology staff. This position will be required to work across all service areas/clinical caseloads and in multidisciplinary teams.About youOur ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:Apply knowledge in the health care system of allied health, basic computer literacy, basic anatomy, medical conditions, and terminology.Communicate within a team with a good understanding of scope of practice.Participate in quality improvement activities under the guidance of an audiologist.Observe or assist the allied health professional in the provision of simple treatments during clinical assessments.Mandatory Requirements:While not mandatory, a relevant qualification (i.e., Certificate IV Allied Health Assistance or equivalent) or willingness to work towards a relevant qualification would be well regarded.It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine-preventable diseases during their employment as required by Health Employment Directive No. 01/16 (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chicken pox), pertussis (whooping cough), hepatitis B).About West Moreton HealthWest Moreton Health is one of the most rapidly evolving health services in the southeast corner, with community growth expected to almost double to more than 588,000 by 2036.
