A little about the roleAudiologist Grade 2 – 0.4 EFT Short term contract until 30/6/25.An exciting opportunity exists to join the
DPV Health Audiology Team
which provides adult, paediatric and infant diagnostic audiology services at two sites across the Northern suburbs (Broadmeadows and Mill Park). The Audiology Team is part of the broader multidisciplinary Child Health Team which works collaboratively to ensure holistic care for the child/individual.You will be responsible for providing a high-quality diagnostic audiology service that meets the needs of the child/individual in a manner that respects their rights and confidentiality.This will include providing diagnostic assessments such as Visual Reinforcement Audiometry, Play Audiometry, ABR, ASSR and OAEs.You will assess and review the client's hearing in order to implement recommendations that address the client/family's needs and priorities.You will provide the family with appropriate information about other services that are relevant for the family/child and arrange any referrals as requested by the family.You will be working with clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and children with complex needs.You will be joining a supportive, high performing professional team and will be working in brand new, spacious Audiology booths at both sites.Desired Skills and Experience
About youYou will have a post graduate qualification in Audiology, Masters or equivalent and be a member of Audiology Australia as an Accredited Audiologist.You will be an experienced clinician with demonstrated knowledge and skills in the assessment and management of young children with complex needs. Experience in infant diagnostic assessments is also highly desirable.You will have experience working with clients/families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.You will thrive in a collaborative team environment and have excellent communication skills.You will have an understanding of working within a Community Health setting and a Family Centred framework.The fine printSuccessful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check, hold a valid WWCC and NDIS Worker Screening Check.Full driver's license and travel between sites is required.Closing date for applications will be 18th November 2024.If you are seeking a role in an excellent, innovative, and supportive team, in a progressive and growing organisation, we would love to hear from you.
