12+6 Month Federal Government Contract Location: Allara Street, Canberra, ACT (mostly onsite)

Clearance Level: NV1 minimum clearance level (preference for higher)

Job Specific Role Description:
Our Federal Government Client has a requirement for a contractor to undertake the role of Video Conferencing / Audio Visual Engineer to augment and work under the direction of their Video Conferencing team. They will provide:

Level 2/3 technical support, using DFAT ITSM tools, processes and governance structures. Programming of Video conferencing and Audio-Visual devices. Essential Criteria and Duties: Technical Proficiency with Cisco Products. Demonstrated experience in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Cisco video conferencing and audiovisual equipment. Must have or working towards an AMX or Crestron highest level certification. Candidates must have prior experience writing/creating/implementation of control systems. Understanding of ITIL Framework. Knowledge of ITIL practices relevant to IT service management and operations, particularly in service request fulfilment, incident and problem management. Integrate third-party hardware/software solutions when needed. Program, install, test and support control systems, both on-site and remotely, with possible travel outside city/state of local office. Understand and possibly assist with the installation of structured cabling to include pulling, terminating and testing cat5e/6, video, RGB, HDMI, DVI and audio cables if needed. Understand and assist with the installation of AV control system equipment hardware to include audio and video conferencing equipment, distributed audio, digital signage, sound reinforcement, and all presentation systems if needed. Complete installation of software/control system needs of client systems in the most efficient and effective manner to assure timely completion and maximum performance. Perform quality control/check on finished product/projects including testing and presentation training to clients. Documentation Skills. Competency in documenting processes and incidents accurately and according to organizational standards, facilitating clear communication and compliance with operational requirements. Certifications specific to Cisco systems, such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Video Network Specialist. ITIL Foundation Certification or higher. Government Sector Experience. Previous experience working within government or other regulated industries, with an understanding of the specific operational and compliance challenges.
