About the role The position involves planning, developing and delivering training and administration of units of accredited courses at HE degree level to both local and international students. You will be part of a dynamic and creative team that supports students to reach their full academic potential and develops their experience in preparation for entering their respective industry.
You will also pro-actively promote achievements of SAE, its students and staff and build relationships to further promote the Institute's programs within the wider professional community. This is a collegial role important in shaping and developing the curriculum and academic direction for SAE at a campus and national level.
In the role of Lecturer, your primary focus will be to provide:
Quality of Learning & Teaching – The effective delivery, administration and assessment of modules within SAE Programs.Collegial Practice – Building capacity within the organization via active participation with peers and colleagues, working with the Academic Coordinator and Department Coordinator, Student Services, Campus Manager and other key stakeholders in the delivery of modules at the campus.Pastoral Care – Engagement and assisting students in their pathway to ensure they have an outstanding experience while studying.The person we seek will ideally have the following: A related postgraduate qualification, preferably at Masters levelA high level of professional industry practice in the music and audio industry with an established portfolio of workTeaching or training experience either in a higher education or in a professional workplace environmentExperience in recording studio production, live sound or post production and with related professional software such as ProToolsPassion to assist students reach their full academic potential while providing an outstanding student experienceStrong organisational and communication skillsHigh level of agile critical thinking and problem-solving abilityWhat we can offer you: Work at our centrally located city campus in a fun, dynamic teamCreative, modern, world-class facilities in a truly global organisationCollegial and collaborative environment focusing on academic excellenceAbout Us SAE's collaborative, project-based approach to creative media education provides students with a hands-on, collaborative and industry aligned way to achieve formal qualifications.
