NEP Australia is currently looking for an Audio & Communications Engineer (Comms Technician) with exceptional drive and work ethics, excellent interpersonal skills, and brilliant technical minds to join our Australian Team based in Melbourne.
The principal purpose of this position is to efficiently set up and operationally test the in-field audio/communications facilities of any field or studio project you are assigned to.
Key Responsibilities:Ensure all audio communication facilities in and around the OB compound are functioning and patched to be operationally ready by the scheduled hand-over time.Liaise with the project's Audio Director and Technical Manager to ensure you are fully briefed on the size, scope, and production schedule of the in-field audio and communications facilities required.Maintain a neat and tidy environment for the audio and communications facilities, ensuring it is professionally presented and does not pose any danger to the public or co-workers.Required Skills and Attributes:Solid knowledge of Riedel and RTS communications systems or similar.Basic knowledge of audio consoles, particularly LAWO and Calrec.A good level of operational experience with an understanding of these devices at an engineering level.Availability for weekend and evening work.Minimum 3 years of television broadcasting experience preferred.Benefits of Working at NEP:Salary continuance insuranceNEP Days – additional 5 days of leave per year (conditions apply)NEP Travel benefits & discounts including Qantas Club MembershipDiscounts through NEP RewardEmployee Assistance ProgramOn-site parking at our Scoresby warehouse (depending on availability)If you feel you have the right match of skills for this position and are available to work weekends and around Australia, submit your application here!
