About the role We are seeking an experienced Audio-Visual Manager who will be responsible for overseeing all audio-visual aspects of events hosted or supported by the organization. This role ensures seamless execution of AV setups, technical support during events, overseeing budgets, client relationships, staff management, external stakeholder coordination, and maintaining and managing a team to deliver high-quality AV services. The ideal candidate will have long term strategy outlook, strong communication skills, inspiring leadership skills, exceptional presentation skills, creative innovation and effective team building. Key responsibilities include: Event Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with event team, clients, and stakeholders to understand AV requirements for each event. Advise on AV equipment selection, setup configurations, and technical capabilities to meet event objectives. Configure AV equipment based on event requirements and technical specifications. Monitor and operate audio and visual equipment throughout the event to ensure optimal performance and make adjustments as necessary. Technical Support: Provide on-site technical support during events, including setup, operation, troubleshooting, and dismantling of AV equipment. Coordinate with venue staff and external AV vendors to ensure seamless integration and operation of AV systems. Troubleshoot technical issues related to AV equipment and systems. Lead and manage the AV team during events, including scheduling, training, and performance management. Delegate tasks effectively to ensure efficient workflow and timely execution of AV setups. Client and Vendor Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding AV requirements and technical support during events. Negotiate and manage contracts with external AV vendors, ensuring services meet quality standards and budget constraints. Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage the AV budget for events, including equipment rentals, staffing costs, and operational expenses. Efficient rostering across Events and Venues. Maintenance and Inventory Management Health and Safety Compliance Minimum Requirements: Proven experience 2 years as an Audio & Visual Manager, preferably in a live event or hospitality setting. Technical expertise in setting up and operating AV equipment such as sound systems, microphones, projectors, screens, and lighting systems. Familiarity with audio-visual technology, including digital signal processing, audio mixing, and video streaming. Troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve technical issues under pressure. Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively. Leadership experience is essential. Customer service-oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in AV setup, operation, and maintenance. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
