You will be responsible for defining the target state and roadmap for our automation capabilities and guiding the realisation of that vision through solution architectures and designs, while ensuring consistency with domain and group architecture strategy and goals.
You will be exposed to exciting initiatives across automation, networking, and document management services, leveraging cloud services and data science, as well as the integration of those services with other group capabilities as we pursue our technology strategy. Provide guidance around technological impacts and implications of proposed business initiatives. Develop a roadmap for your aligned capabilities and ensure individual initiatives align with the strategic goals. Ensure commercial focus on all architecture work to guarantee the desired business outcomes are met in a cost-effective way. Balance the need for consistent and accurate enterprise architecture with the need for rapid delivery in an Agile environment. Maintain a thorough understanding of business and technological capabilities and initiatives within the designated domain, and their relationship to the wider group and technological strategies and goals. Provide technical guidance to Project Managers, IT Managers and Business representatives. Offer mentoring and guidance to solution architects, technical leads, application system specialists, business & system analysts. Build and retain strong relationships with strategic vendors and partners. Working Conditions: Based in Brisbane Permanent full time Occasional interstate travel What will make you successful in this role? 10+ years of Enterprise Architect/Solution Architect experience supporting large corporate customers across all technologies, preferably in the mining industry. Experience in the mining industry. Experience in Radio, LTE, Networking, Data Centre architectures and design, with some experience in large scale Application/desktop/Cloud projects and on premises server/DC outsourcing. Ability to lead large solution designs across multiple technologies and to be the technical design authority for complex multi-technology offerings. Experience with automation platforms and Agile & Lean methodologies. Consulting background from a service provider environment or industrial and/or mining experience is advantageous. Exceptional C-level stakeholder management and vendor management skills. Experience working in large, complex enterprise-scale project environments. Strong leadership, conflict management and negotiation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in information technology or related disciplines, or equivalent. Architectural certification (e.g., TOGAF or other) is preferred.
