Visit our website to find out more: About the role We are seeking a permanent Senior Environmental Consultant to be based in Newcastle or the Hunter Valley NSW, who is prepared to provide support for our wide variety of clients. Although a majority of work will occur in Newcastle or the Hunter Valley as well as from the comfort of your home, occasional travel may be required to help build important client relationships and to complete projects. This role will work closely with the Principal Environmental Consultant and provide a great opportunity to shape the Environmental Approvals discipline of the business. This role will have the ability to work flexibly to best meet the needs of the preferred candidate.
We have a steady flow of work with existing clients as well as new clients and the potential to bring in further projects. Existing projects include:
Site support for a Tier 1 mining operation Approvals for development from State Significant Development (SSD) to local Environmental due diligence and advice Internal assurance to External Auditing (Independent Environmental Audits) Management Plans Life of Mine (LOM) and Mine Closure planning Biodiversity Offsets Site inspections. About you Degree in Environmental Science or equivalent Minimum 5 years environmental experience (previous consulting or mining experience favourable) Excellent written and verbal communication skills The ability to work autonomously Australian Citizenship or rights to work in Australia Hold a current driver's license Successful candidates will be offered:
