As a Senior Business Development Manager, your role will be pivotal in driving our client's business growth. You will be responsible for identifying profitable opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and leading projects that contribute to the expansion of their existing portfolio. Key responsibilities include:
Implement strategic plans to develop energy projects in target market segments. Effectively manage new projects, acquisitions, or joint ventures from project inception through to contract execution/final investment decision. Undertake economic and financial investigations to support investment cases. Prepare and present investment cases that align with investment criteria to Executives. What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Business Development Manager role brings extensive experience in building and maintaining business relationships at a senior level across the WA Mining sector. You will ideally have the following background:
Strong technical understanding of remote energy and power generation. Bid construction, tendering, and auction procedures, including acquisitions. Complex contract negotiation, administration, and management. Working knowledge of the Australian energy and mining sectors. Experience with long sales cycles, identifying opportunities, and taking your client on the journey. Demonstrable track record managing Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
