About the role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team and play a key role in the delivery of the Land 400 Phase 3 program at Hanwha Defense Australia. Reporting into the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for executing the relevant sub-project of this high-profile defence project, ensuring that all project deliverables are met on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
What you'll be doing Developing and managing project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure the successful delivery of specific sub-projects and elements of the project, including DIDs, vehicles and support activities. Coordinating and leading cross-functional teams, including engineers, procurement specialists, and quality assurance personnel, to ensure seamless project execution. Identifying and mitigating project risks, and implementing effective risk management strategies. Engaging with the customer and other key stakeholders representing the project and team Redback, including management of key subcontractors. Conducting regular project review meetings and providing reports on project status. Providing guidance and support to the project team, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and contractual requirements. What we're looking for Experience in project management, preferably in the defence or engineering/manufacturing industries. Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, including subcontractors and supply chain. Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects on time and within budget. Familiarity with defence industry regulations, standards, and contractual requirements. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
