Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and quality control. Create and develop new menu items that align with our focus on whole foods, nutrition, and flavour. Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimise waste and ensure fresh ingredients. Work closely with the cafe owners to implement special events, promotions, and seasonal menu changes. Supervise kitchen staff, including training new employees, delegating tasks, and maintaining a productive work environment. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and storage areas. Uphold our commitment to delivering exceptional food quality and presentation to our customers. About you:
Proven experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or similar leadership role preferably in a cafe or restaurant environment. Culinary certification or relevant training from a recognised institution. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, flavour profiles, and presentation. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
