Role Purpose The ICT Technician's role is to support all users, workstations, printers, and network infrastructure.
Qualification Requirements Matric Certificate A+/N+ Certification Experience Requirements 3 years experience in an IT support environment Exposure to Marel equipment will be an advantage Computer Literacy in using: Microsoft Office Suite Windows 10 McAfee Expertise in: HP, Dell and IBM computer hardware Networking Switches: HP & Aruba Label Printers Exposure to wireless communication and security Main Responsibilities (although Not Limited To) Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers, etc.). Check computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards, etc.) to ensure functionality. Support shop floor equipment and software in the factory. Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications. Install and configure hardware and software components to ensure usability. Provide user support and be the first point of contact for error reporting. Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work. Maintain records/logs of repairs, fixes, and maintenance schedules. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and ensure electrical safety standards are met. Conduct daily backup operations and manage technical documentation. Ensure the security and privacy of networks and computer systems. Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment. Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders. Ensure the confidentiality and reliability of intellectual property. Basic understanding and implementation of the 20 keys concept. #J-18808-Ljbffr
