Imagine being at the forefront of building something entirely new. As an Assurance Specialist, you'll be instrumental in developing an assurance function for a brand-new financial adviser offering. This isn't just another role-it's an opportunity to create meaningful impact from the ground up.

This role offers an exciting blend of technical expertise and strategic thinking. You'll have the chance to leverage cutting-edge RegTech solutions, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and help shape a scalable assurance program that sets new industry standards.

As our Assurance Specialist, you'll play a critical role in:
Conducting assurance reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory obligationsMonitoring transactions and investigating system-generated alerts to identify risksExecuting due diligence and continuous risk oversight on licensees and advisersPerforming quality assurance on internal functions to ensure adherence to standardsContributing to the development of risk and quality indicatorsDriving continuous improvement of our assurance practices to reduce inefficienciesBeing a strategic partner, providing insights that enhance service quality and support our commitment to member outcomes. About You
We are looking for someone with a background in risk, compliance, assurance, or audit, with experience managing financial advice/superannuation assurance or audit programs.

You should have a strong understanding of various financial advice business models, fee structures, advice strategies, and products. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to build rapport and credibility with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Requirements: Experience in developing and implementing assurance testing proceduresStrong understanding of financial advice business structures and complianceEmpathy and strong communication skills to support and build relationships with stakeholdersStrong attention to detail and ability to manage tight deadlinesProfessional certifications in risk, assurance/audit, or financial advice viewed favourably The US Way
