About the jobSA Water is seeking a proactive Assurance Specialist to enhance our Corporate Assurance function. In this role, you will provide independent, objective assurance, advice, and insights to our Board, Chief Executive, and Senior Management, ensuring the effectiveness of SA Water's risk management, compliance, and internal control processes.Your responsibilities will include:Support and drive the continuous improvement of SA Water's Assurance Framework.Integrate the Assurance Framework into daily operations, identifying and recommending improvements in systems, processes, and controls.Provide expert advice and support for business initiatives aimed at process improvement.Lead and advise on assurance functions, aligning with SA Water's documented processes.Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and maintain effective working relationships with the co-sourced internal audit partner and the Audit Office of South Australia (previously known as the Auditor General's Department).Your success in this role will come from:Strong communication and interpersonal skills for influencing and building positive relationships with stakeholders.Strategic and conceptual thinking with sound decision-making abilities.Experience working in complex political and legislative environments with the ability to manage changing priorities and workload pressures.Recent experience in an assurance role or related field.Tertiary qualifications in law, accounting, internal audit, public policy/administration, or a related discipline (Desirable)Knowledge of governance disciplines, particularly in large organisations (Desirable)Experience with public organisations or government agencies (Desirable)If you're ready to contribute to a vital function in a dynamic environment, apply now to join our team as an Assurance Specialist!To apply, click 'Apply'.
