About the role: Reporting to the Practice Assurance Business Partner, the Assurance Practitioner role is part of a National CYF Practice Excellence and Assurance Hub responsible for supporting the Child, Youth, and Families teams to deliver services in our communities. The position collaborates with client services and other business areas to implement a consistent, effective, and efficient approach to safeguarding, quality management, and other practice assurance initiatives.
This is a permanent full-time position, requiring travel to assist with internal and external audits in both states.
Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain positive and professional working relationships with corporate business areas, Client Services, and other key stakeholders.Prepare advice and provide support and tools to implement legislation, standards, contracts, policy, and procedure requirements.Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through listening, learning, and responding to stakeholder needs.Undertake internal audits, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement processes.Identify systemic issues and share best practices.Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and practice improvements.Provide support and advice on integrating safeguarding and risk management into core business activities.Coordinate and undertake internal audits in accordance with the Internal Audit Program.Contribute to the process for renewing/gaining accreditation/licensing.Facilitate reflective practice processes with Client Services staff.Maintain current knowledge of changes to legislation, practice standards, and customer requirements.Keep abreast of best practices and emerging trends that may impact business and quality assurance strategies.Skills & Experience: Relevant tertiary qualifications or other relevant experience.Practice experience in the Human and Community Services sector.Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to Child Youth and Family services.Experience providing best practice quality assurance against established standards.Experience in auditing and accreditation processes.Experience implementing a Quality Management System.Experience developing policies and procedures with attention to detail.Experience working collaboratively across an organization to assist in implementing change.Demonstrated ability to function effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team under pressure.Effective time management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Experience managing content and supporting staff in Microsoft SharePoint.Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite.Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks, including National Criminal History Record Check and relevant state-based Child Protection Checks.
