About the role
We are looking for a self-driven and high performing Assurance Manager to join Elders on a Full-Time, Permanent basis.
Elders is in an exciting transformation phase, evolving across multiple key business functions. With high visibility from leadership and executive, this is a rare opportunity for an experienced Assurance Manager to champion Internal Audit and help shape the wider Elders business.
This role will deliver audit and assurance projects whilst driving effective risk management practices across Elders. You will work in the Internal Audit team and interact with all levels of the business to deliver key outcomes that drive improvements and sustainable change, whilst minimising risk exposures.
Responsibilities
As an Assurance Manager, you will:
Partner with key business representatives to identify audit areas using a prioritised risk-based approach, contributing to the overall governance and assurance program. Lead multiple internal audit and advisory projects from risk assessment, planning, fieldwork, and reporting. Proactively build strong relationships with the Elders business to understand their priorities and challenges. Evaluate the governance, risks, and control frameworks related to respective audits. Influence attitudes and drive the business to champion methodologies on governance, risk management, and internal controls. Collaborate with the Risk and Compliance teams to ensure risks and controls are captured and assessed contributing to the 3 Lines of Defence assurance model. Lead and provide coaching to Internal Auditors and/or external co-sourcing partners. Provide support for strategic initiatives, system implementations, finance transformation, and ad hoc investigations. Drive the development of internal audit processes and ongoing operational improvement. Travel across the Elders network, as required. About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Experience in a Manager role in internal audit, controls assurance, or operational risk management. Strong technical skills, exceptional business acumen, and the highest level of integrity. Strong demonstrated leadership capability (able to take charge, set clear objectives, achieve results, challenge the status quo, and be a continuous learner). Ability to interpret complex issues, distil key points, and develop effective and practical recommendations. Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and educate stakeholders on the importance of internal controls. Confidence to autonomously deliver a range of activities to high standards with demanding deadlines across multiple stakeholder groups. Experience in process transformation and controls optimisation. Professional qualification (CPA, CIA, CA or equivalent desirable). Experience or knowledge of the agribusiness/retail sectors (desirable). About Elders
