About the Role As a Assurance Manager for our Simplification Tribe, you'll play a key role in leading risk articulation and advising the Tribe on end-to-end risk delivery across an impactful delivery programme, supporting customer migration and developing business risk assessments.
This is a risk assurance and compliance partnering role supporting the Customer Migration Portfolio aligned to ANZ Retail's strategic priority of making ANZ Plus a success. As an Assurance Manager in the Customer Migration Assurance team with a focus on Simplification, you will:
Partner with Customer Migration Readiness and Simplification teams to develop a strong understanding of the team's needs and priorities to ensure operational, technology and compliance controls and customer-focused treatments are built in up front. Be a key member of a multidisciplinary risk enablement team who think about risk and compliance differently, provide simple risk solutions and are trusted partners of the portfolio. Facilitate effective governance of key risk elements across Simplification to empower teams to self-check and remediate. What will your day look like? As a Assurance Manager, you will:
Work closely with Simplification Stream leadership, Product Owners, Journey Experts and your assurance colleagues in the identification, assessment and management of risks and issues. Embed risk awareness and escalate and record risk information as needed. Conduct Risk & Controls Assessment – ensuring sound documentation of risk information across the portfolio for introduced risk. Coordinate and manage end-to-end risk workshops, to produce risk assessments. Use your strong communication and presentation skills to connect with stakeholders across impacted business segments. Support the teams with compliance obligations management. Enhance risk reporting and ensure material decisions are captured. Triaging events. Bring creativity by challenging what's possible whilst keeping the safety and financial wellbeing of our customers at our core. Develop a strong understanding of the teams' needs and priorities to ensure risk and compliance is built into feature design. What will you bring? For this role you should ideally have experience in identifying and managing the customer journey or customer experience. Experience in product or distribution assurance will also be well regarded.
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Proven experience in risk management, assurance or operational excellence, ideally supporting project assurance or risk delivery changes. Stakeholder management: The ability to identify, understand and anticipate the needs of those who can affect or be affected by your work in order to gain commitment. Influencing: The ability to gain the commitment of others through a range of techniques. Relationship building: The ability to build and nurture relationships, both internally and externally, to maintain and foster mutually trusting and empathetic connections. Critical thinking: The ability to use logic and reasoning to analyse, evaluate and synthesize a range of information to understand an opportunity or challenge. Risk Management: A logical and pragmatic method of establishing the context, identifying, analysing, evaluating, treating, monitoring and/or communicating risks associated with any activity, function or process in a way that will enable the organisation to minimise losses and maximize opportunities. Excellent communication skills, ability to identify, articulate and communicate financial crime risk findings. You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
