As a team, we act with care; we deliver together, and we are ambitious The RoleThe Assurance Coordinator plays an essential role by managing assurance and compliance activities across various departments. Their main focus is on third-line assurance activities and coordinating external audits to ensure we meet regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.You will contribute to the development and implementation of the assurance strategy, ensuring it aligns with the organization's goals, with a focus on third-line assurance activities and external audits. You will oversee these activities to ensure compliance with regulations, industry standards, and internal procedures.Managing the Project Gateway Review Team, you will ensure that project reviews adhere to objectives, timelines, budgets, and quality standards, utilizing Queensland Hydro internal gates and the Queensland Government Project Assessment Framework (PAF). By staying informed on regulatory changes and industry trends, you will recommend necessary policy and procedure adjustments while collaborating with teams across the business.Additionally, you will organize and support the Technical Review Panel (TRP), facilitating meetings, ensuring diverse expertise is included, and coordinating reviews to meet project deadlines. Lastly, you will prepare and present reports on assurance and compliance activities, findings, and recommendations to the Assurance Manager, aiding senior leadership in making informed decisions.About youTo thrive in this role, you'll bring a strong background in assurance, compliance, or audit management. You are highly organized, with a keen eye for detail, and comfortable managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously. Your ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, both internal and external, ensures the smooth coordination of assurance activities.You bring extensive experience in assurance and compliance, with a proven ability to manage external audits while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies. Your attention to detail ensures that all assurance activities are conducted meticulously, maintaining the highest quality standards.With strong project management skills, you effectively coordinate reviews and audits, ensuring they align with project timelines, objectives, and budgets. You excel in collaborating with diverse teams, fostering clear communication and engagement throughout the assurance process. Adaptable and proactive, you stay updated on regulatory changes and industry trends, ready to adjust strategies and policies as needed.
