What you'll do:   WSP's Planning and Mobility team is a group of talented, passionate, and friendly professionals who provide integrated transport advisory and planning services to government and private clients.
We operate as part of an integrated national team to deliver projects in Queensland and throughout Australia and internationally.
This is an opportunity for you to join a supportive, high performing team as a Senior / Associate Traffic Engineer.
This role can be based in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, or the Sunshine Coast.
We are looking for a technical candidate with a passion for delivering high quality traffic engineering willing to take the lead and deliver for both internal and external clients.
You will provide technical advice on geometric road and intersection layouts, car parking layouts and other transport infrastructure.
The role has significant scope to grow and develop with the business.
Provide technical advice and drafting/design of CAD drawings using AutoCAD Attend internal and external project meetings as required Preparation of written correspondence and advice to support project design documentation for submission to clients, internal teams and authorities Manage medium-large scale projects including client liaison Preparation of fee proposals and management of scope and fee variations Work on a wide range of multi-modal projects including major infrastructure projects (road, rail, and bus), to new mobility, place-making, property and buildings and traffic management About you:    You have a demonstrated understanding of good practice in traffic engineering and applicable guidelines and tools, and demonstrated technical excellence delivering successful projects for a broad range of clients spanning State, Federal and local government and private developers and transport operators.
You have excellent verbal and written language skills, including demonstrated skills in report and proposal writing, and an interest in client development and engagement.
Your background will include: RPEQ registration (essential) Bachelor's Degree (Civil Engineering) or equivalent Minimum 5 years' experience Project Management capability or a commitment to developing project management skills   Experience in geometric layout design of roads, intersections and car parks Experience in traffic signal plans, functional layouts, traffic management plans and signage and line marking plans is desirable Skill in AutoCAD and Autoturn Consultancy background & client facing skills are valuable TMD accreditation is desirable What we will offer you:    WSP prioritises the health and wellbeing of our people by offering flexible working, 12 months parental leave, opportunities for global mobility, purchased additional leave, and competitive remuneration among many more benefits designed to help you shine.
