Role based in the Melbourne CBD
Associate to the Honourable Justice Moore Supreme Court of Victoria
The Honourable Justice Moore is seeking a legally qualified individual to be his Associate commencing on 28 October 2024. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience working in the Common Law Division of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, the capacity to confidently and effectively liaise with the profession and members of the public, as well as a strong academic record, are essential.
About the Role
Duties include:
Assisting with the production of judgments, including proofreading and editing
Clerking in court
Reviewing files and orders
Performing administrative tasks, including maintaining court records and preparing material for use by the judge in court
Preparing research memoranda
Assisting the judge with his duties in managing the Trusts, Equity and Probate List
Liaising with court staff, the public, the media and the profession

About You
Qualified in Law
Two years of post-qualification experience is desirable
