We continually strive to create a high-performance workplace that is characterised by creativity, innovation, flexibility, and quality delivery.About the RoleThe Honourable Justice Jane Dixon, Principal Judge of the Criminal Trial Division, is seeking a legally qualified individual to be her associate commencing in late September 2024. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the Criminal Division of the Supreme Court of Victoria.Duties include:Preparing research and briefing memoranda and assisting in the production of judgments, papers and presentations, including proofreading and editing.Performing administrative tasks, including maintaining Court records and preparing material for use by the Judge in Court.Speaking in Court – empanelling juries, taking verdicts and arraigning the accused.Liaising with Court staff, the public, the media and the profession.About YouAn individual with up to two years' post-graduate experience and/or an interest in this area would be advantageous. Excellent writing skills and strong academic credentials are essential.
