Due to considerable growth, we would like to meet with talented Perth based Associate to Principal level Pavement Engineers who are looking to make their mark in 2025 and beyond!
You will be part of our accomplished Geotechnical and Tunnels section and will work alongside our established team technical experts, assisting in bidding and delivering successful projects.
Your technical pavements expertise will be deployed across projects in the transport, power, water, mining, property and government sectors to continue the growth of an already successful and reputable capability.

Geotechnical & Tunnels Across Australia WSP employs a 400+ strong team of geotechnical, geological and tunneling consultants.
Our WA Geotechnical team is the state's largest geotechnical team and consists of passionate and experienced geotechnical engineers, engineering geologists and geoscientists, operating from offices in Perth CBD.
You will also work alongside industry leading in-house Perth based capabilities in geophysics, environmental services and in-house geotechnical laboratories.
As part of the national team, you have the both of both worlds – solving client's technical challenges (large and small) on geotechnically led projects, as well as the ability to work on major projects with one of Australia's largest multi-disciplinary firms in the transport, mining and property and buildings sectors.
What you'll do Based in our Perth offices, you will be our Pavements subject expert within our WA team and will help provide strong technical guidance and oversight to projects within the local team.
You will have working experience in granular and full depth asphalt flexible pavement and seal designs for metropolitan infrastructure as well as remote and mine site access and haul roads.
Heavy duty and airport pavement design experience would be welcomed.
In this role, you will involve and lead throughout the project lifecycle ranging from concept design to construction stage services.
This is a specialist technical role within our pavement design group providing practical and innovative design solutions to internal and external clients both locally and nationally.
You will also believe in striving to offer best practice consulting services to clients, throughout Western Australia, nationally and with opportunities to lead and collaborate on international projects.
Your passion and technical expertise will be deployed across a number of diverse projects, and will expose you to a variety of industries, such as transport, ports, mining, renewable energy, property and buildings, and also government sectors to further continue the growth of an already successful and reputable local geotechnical capability.
You will also be tasked in mentoring and the development of more junior engineers, ensuring that we are cultivating and supporting our fantastic Engineers of tomorrow.
You will have: A degree in Civil Engineering, preferably post-graduate qualification in Pavement engineering Proven and extensive experience in pavement designs (including rehabilitation) at Senior level as a minimum.
Experience in pavement construction will be well regarded Project experience with state road authorities and their design guidelines, and industry guidelines Strong knowledge of pavement materials, including asphalt and cement modified materials, and recycled materials Advanced working knowledge of mechanistic pavement design software tools specifically CIRCLY Experience in pavement and geotechnical site investigation, analysis and reporting, including experience in intrusive and non-destructive pavement evaluation techniques.
