Associate to Associate Justice IerodiaconouCourt Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.
Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the 'Courts Group'.
Our people enable the Courts Group to deliver on each jurisdiction's own strategic priorities while also pursuing strategic opportunities that are interconnected and deliver benefits more broadly.
About the Role An exciting opportunity exists to work as an Associate to Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Be exposed to a variety of civil matters, including interlocutory matters and trials.
The successful candidate will require excellent written and oral communication skills, organisational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team environment.
The Associate will be required to provide high-level legal support and administrative services both in chambers and in the courtroom.
Duties include:

legal research and participation in judgment production processclerking in court (including virtually)liaising with Court staff, the public and the professiondocument managementproofreading and editing judgmentsAbout You As this is a busy chambers, the role requires excellent time management skills, an ability to prioritise workload, a strong customer service focus and highly developed communication skills. Excellent attention to detail is required to be successful in this role. High-level research skills, strong interpersonal skills, organisational skills and post-admission practising experience is highly desirable.
