The role sits within our Places Global Business Area (GBA).
We work with our clients around the world to create, support, and enhance smart, safe, and sustainable places where people live, work, learn and thrive.
Places impact on the quality of people's lives through new or redeveloped Residential, Industrial & Logistics (including Intermodal Terminals, Data Centres), Commercial, Retail, Defence or Social Infrastructure (Arts, Sports, Health and Education) developments.
The role is flexible in terms of location and working hours with the Australian Arcadis business currently implementing a 'commute only with intent' approach.
We are open to both full-time and part-time positions.

Role accountabilities: Line Management of a team of predominantly Drainage & Flooding Engineers Providing specialist technical guidance, direction, and overview of the day-to-day delivery of Civil, Stormwater and Flooding engineering design, as well as meeting agreed budgetary, quality, safety and timeframe targets; Delivering sustainable and innovative design solutions and driving continuous improvement.
Building effective and enduring relationships with Project Managers, Design Managers and other technical disciplines and teams, including Arcadis offices and external organisations to foster collaboration and maximise growth opportunities; Championing the involvement and inclusion of our Global Excellence Centres (GEC) by ensuring our people understand the benefits and requirement of the inclusion of the GECs as a seamless part of our service offering; and Mentoring and supporting the development of wider team members whilst leading by example to embed a culture within the business unit that is 'people first', client-centric, innovative and entrepreneurial focused.
Providing input into, and engagement with, the development and implementation of the strategy and vision as well as the particular discipline business plan under the Team Leader's management; Supporting the Business Manager and other Team Leaders with day-to-day operations, project and people management where required External industry presence is desirable but not essential, with external client experience seen as beneficial Qualifications & Experience: Experience with Line Management responsibilities and Direct Report management Relevant degree recognised by a relevant Industry Association or Institute – Chartered professional status, or equivalent and a post graduate qualification will be highly regarded; Demonstrated industry experience including supervising aspects of a project, application of standards and technical knowledge within the urban development market; Experience of working in multi-discipline teams and/or project teams on major or complex projects of scale; Proven ability to lead, with good influencing, motivating and delegation skills; and Excellent communication and relationship building skills, both internally and externally.
