The Role Are you brimming with industry knowledge and know-how? Ready to plane out a new chapter where your projects and lesson plans are finely crafted? We're on the lookout for a Teacher to chisel the future generation of Cabinet Makers. If you have experience in manufacturing and installing residential kitchens and bathrooms, working in commercial cabinetry for hospitals and hotels, or making furniture, we want to hear from you.
Whilst you'll be working from our Alanvale Campus in Launceston supporting the Tasmanian community, you'll also expand the knowledge of Cabinet Making among our Northern Territory neighbours. You'll work in the NT for 2-3 weeks, 2-3 times a year.
What do we want you to do? Inspire learners with lessons with your passion for the trade Design and deliver training materials that will continuously hit the nail on the head Hone learners' skills to ensure they shine in their industry Mould a safe and flexible learning environment Keep updated on industry trends and updated technology What are we looking for? Hands-on skills in solid timber, residential and commercial cabinetry that's second to none A mentor who can sand back the edges and help our learners achieve their qualifications smoothly In-depth knowledge of Cabinet Making using a broad range of tools and techniques A passion for sharing knowledge and articulating complex industry jargon and concepts A minimum Certificate III in Cabinet Making, or equivalent qualification A current Working with Vulnerable People registration, or the ability to obtain prior to commencement.
Already have your Work Skill Instructor Skill Set? We are looking for applicants who have attained this unit in their Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) to become Associate Teachers. If you already have your TAE or would like to know more about how to obtain one, please reach out!
