The Role
AspenTech is looking for individuals to join our growing Product Quality Team in the role of Associate Software Quality Engineer testing Aspen Products providing next generation Engineering, Manufacturing and Asset Optimization solutions. This is your opportunity to play an important role in this cutting-edge transformation. We are looking for a Quality Engineer to help us create and execute testing approaches for our market-leading Operational Technology (OT) products, with a key objective of designing and developing low maintenance and portable test automation scripts using some of the latest industry technologies. This individual will create robust test strategies to search out product issues while assuring that the product line conforms to established requirements and standards. This individual will also be responsible for gathering functional requirements, information, and data to proactively drive quality best practices while collaborating with R&D and Product Management.
Your Impact
Design, build, execute, and maintain test automation including backend, UI, and API, using Python, Robot Framework, pytest, TestComplete, Appium and other tools.
Create automated test scripts for non-functional system verification including reliability, stability, data maintenance, performance benchmarking, and scalability.
Develop, maintain, and support tools for day-to-day quality activities using Python and other tools.
Work within CI/CD pipelines to build, configure, and patch multiple test environments.
Perform requirements analysis, create test strategy and test cases, execute test plans, troubleshoot issues, and report defects.
Manually execute complex functional and non-functional tests.
Engage with cross-functional and cross-regional teams on status and plan updates and problem solving in an agile development methodology.
What You'll Need
BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Equivalent Engineering major required.
Recent graduate to 2 years of experience in programming or validating complex software testing projects.
Ability to program using Python or similar programming languages.
Effective and proactive bi-directional communications between US, India, and MXC quality centers.
Working experience with test automation, databases, and test tools is desirable. Experience with Operating Systems and virtualization technologies is desirable.
Experience in and knowledge of software development methodologies cycle is a plus.
Understanding of CI/CD pipeline including deployment infrastructures and source control systems is a plus.
Must be proficient in conversational and written English.
