About the role
We are seeking a talented technology contracting lawyer (4-7 PQE) to join our well respected and successful Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) practice in our Sydney office.
In this role you will further progress your career working under the direction of industry leading partners Brendan Tomlinson, Jeff Goodall, Sonia Sharma, Ooma Khurana, Greg Palumbo and Ben Miller who service the TMT sector, including ASX listed companies, major organisations and government departments. You will be engaged in interesting and high quality work advising our clients on information technology, outsourcing, procurement and general commercial matters. Other streams of work include intellectual property, privacy, cyber and data resilience matters.
You will be joining a diverse, friendly and collegiate team with a proven track record for advancing career progression.
About you
The successful candidate will have experience in the technology and privacy space, ideally gained within a specialised TMT practice, and ideally including exposure to the GDPR. Having worked within a well-established law firm, you will need experience advising on a broad range of complex technology procurement matters, with, ideally, complimentary experience in outsourcing and general procurement. In addition, you will need strong commercial acumen, exceptional drafting skills, and an eye for detail.
You will invest time and effort in understanding the clients' issues and take responsibility for ensuring their needs are consistently met.
