The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and talented associate / senior associate to join our financial lines team on a full-time basis. As an associate / senior associate in this team, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of legally challenging and factually complex matters focusing on Management Liability & Professional Indemnity.
Your main responsibilities will include:

Manage a diverse caseload of professional & management liability claims, ensuring exceptional client representation and successful outcomes.
Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings with expertise and confidence.
Offer ongoing legal advice and support to clients throughout the entire litigation process.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure comprehensive and efficient case handling.

Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will have:

A Bachelor of Laws or equivalent and a current New South Wales practising certificate.
Minimum 4 years' post admission experience in general insurance matters.
Strong command of Australian tort law, civil procedure, and relevant legislation.
Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A commercial approach and ability to articulate and negotiate effectively.

Experience in Management Liability / Professional Liability matters would be beneficial.
