The R&D team brings our purpose to life by bringing together a diverse group of accountants, lawyers, engineers, scientists, and software developers who are passionate about helping businesses to fund and deliver innovative projects.
Our core offerings include assistance with preparing R&D Tax Incentive claims and applications for State and Federal Government grants.In this R&D & Government Incentives team, you will collaborate with supportive colleagues to assist clients in the manufacturing, engineering, biotech, agriculture, technology, mining, energy and a variety of other sectors to access the R&D Tax Incentive program and assist in applying for State/Federal Government grants.
This will involve evaluating the technical and commercial details of R&D projects against the relevant eligibility/assessment criteria and preparing a range of detailed submissions.
It is varied, interesting work that involves lots of interaction with our clients' management, operational and finance teams.You'll help solve complex problems by using your skills in:Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business operations and activities and advising them on how to access Government funding.Critical Thinking: Evaluate client projects to determine eligibility for R&D tax incentives, ensuring compliance with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) guidelines.Technical and Financial Analysis: Use your skills to support R&D claims, including project descriptions and financial analysis.Advisory Services: Provide strategic advice on R&D tax planning and optimisation, helping clients maximise their benefits and how to access Government Grants.Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams at the client and within PwC, to deliver comprehensive solutions.In our R&D team, your impact will be seen by:Assisting clients in identifying and understanding the criteria for various tax grants and incentives.Helping fund our client's new innovations and operational expansion.Developing an understanding of tax regulations and how they apply to R&D activities.Assisting senior team members in strategising and delivering superior client service.Your new benefits:Flexible working arrangements including working from home or from a different PwC Australia base office.More opportunities to connect with loved ones, with the ability to work up to four weeks from anywhere in Australia and select international locations.Health and lifestyle perks like a wellness credit and discounted memberships.More family time with 26 weeks paid parental leave.World-class development opportunities to accelerate your career.Strong mentors, meaningful work and plenty of networking opportunities.Dress for your day so you can feel confident and comfortable for whatever your day has in store for you.Our commitment to diversity and inclusion:To solve important problems we need diverse talent.
